RE:  Regional Wage/Fringe Schedules

On Saturday, March 28, 2009, the membership of Iron Workers Local Union No. 512 completed their allocation of the May 1, 2009 negotiated wage increases for all three Regions.

The enclosed Regional Wage/Fringe Schedules will become effective on Friday, May 1, 2009 for all hours worked on or after that date (with the exception of Health Fund contribution rates for Regions B and C, which go into effect on Monday, May 4,2009).

*Savings Plan Deduction ($3.25 per hour)
Included in the Base Wage Rate of $33.80 is a Savings Plan deduction of $3.25 per hour worked, which is subject to all applicable payroll taxes and then withheld from the employee's net wages.

*Working Dues Check-Off Deduction
The Employer is required to deduct 4% of the employee's gross wages, as a working dues check-off deduction.  This 4% working dues check-off deduction shall not apply to per diem, subsistence, mileage or bonus payments made to the employee.

When and Where To send Fringe Fund Contributions
All benefit fund contributions, including the Savings Plan deduction and the Working Dues Check-Off deduction, should be mailed to:

The Local 512 Collective Bargaining Agreement includes provisions for varying subsisgence rates on projects depending on the project location.  For more specific information, please call the Local Union Main Office at 651-489-1488 or 1-866-89-1488 (toll free).

** The Employer agrees to contribute an additional ten cents ($.10) per hour worked, over and above the Total Package amounts set forth in this Agreement, for all bargaining unit work performed on sites covered by the North Dakota Energy Coalition  for Contracotr Safety (ECCS) payable through the ECCS Fund in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in the May 22, 2006 Letter of Understanding Relating to the North Dakota Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety (ECCS) Fund between the parties to this Agreement.

APPRENTICE WAGE SCALE  --  IRON WORKERS LOCAL 512

This wage is effective 05/01/09 through 10/31/09.  Apprentices will  receive a
5% raise on 05/01/09.  Regions A,B,&C as noted
